Why is My Domain Not Working After Payment?

If your domain remains inactive after payment, it is likely that the renewal was processed after the domain expired and the standard grace period had ended. In these instances, the domain enters a "Redemption Period," and an additional fee is required by the registry to restore it.

The redemption period window varies depending on the domain extension. We highly recommend resolving this as soon as possible; otherwise, the domain may be deleted by the registry due to non-payment.

Steps to Resolve Domain Inactivity

  1. Login to your account.

  2. Check for any outstanding invoices related to redemption fees.

  3. If you find an unpaid invoice, complete the payment to initiate the restoration process.

  4. If no invoices are visible, please contact our support team via phone, chat, or by opening a support ticket for further assistance.

Recommendation: To prevent loss of service, we suggest the following:

  • Renew for multiple years: This removes the need to manually renew every year and locks in the current rate as a buffer against rising costs.

  • Enable auto-renewal: This ensures payments are made automatically so you don’t need to remember. Please see the dedicated help pages for important details.
