Renewing An Expired Domain Name

When a domain name expires, you may still be able to renew it through your 101domain account for a limited time. Follow the steps below to attempt an online renewal. If renewal is not available, additional rules and fees may apply.

Renewal Steps

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. In the top navigation, select Domain Names to view your domain list.

  3. Locate the expired domain and check the box next to the domain you want to renew.

  4. Click the arrow under Actions.

  5. Select Renew.

  6. Choose the renewal period, then complete checkout and payment.

If the Renew option is not available or the renewal fails, see the section below on contacting Support.

When to contact Support

Please contact our support team if:

  • You do not see a Renew option for your domain

  • Your domain shows a status such as “Redemption” or “Pending Delete”

  • You are unsure whether your domain can still be recovered

For full details on renewal and redemption timelines and any applicable fees, please refer to our terms and conditions.

Turn on Auto Renew to prevent future expirations

We recommend enabling Auto Renew to avoid the potential loss of your domains. Auto Renew is the most reliable way to ensure your domain name does not expire.

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. In the top navigation, select Domain Names to view your domain list.

  3. Enable or disable Auto Renew by toggling the "AUTO RENEW" slider to the right of the domain name(s).
