How to Tell if an Email Is Really from 101domain

If you receive an email that appears to be from 101domain, use the checks below to confirm whether it is legitimate or a phishing/spoofing attempt.

Signs an email may be suspicious

1. The sender address is misspelled or “looks close”

Legitimate emails from 101domain will come from an email address that ends in @101domain.com.

Be cautious of “look-alike” domains that swap similar characters, such as:

  • @1o1domain.com (uses a lowercase letter “o” instead of a zero).

  • @1O1domain.com (uses an uppercase letter “O” instead of a zero).

2. It asks for sensitive information

101domain will never ask you to share sensitive information by email, including:

  • Your account password (we do not store login passwords in a retrievable format).

  • Full credit card details.

If you receive a message requesting this information, treat it as suspicious - especially if the sender address looks unusual.

Phishing emails often include links that take you to a fake website designed to steal your information.

Before clicking:

  • Hover over links (without clicking) to preview the destination URL.

  • Avoid links that look misspelled, shortened, or unrelated to 101domain.

For account access or identity verification requests, 101domain may send links from Persona (our identity verification provider).

What to do if you’re unsure

If you suspect an email is not legitimate:

  1. Do not reply or share any personal or payment information.

  2. Contact 101domain Support Team through a trusted channel (phone, LiveChat, or our official support ticket system) to confirm whether the message is genuine.
