Identity Verification Using Persona with 101domain

To ensure the security of both users and the company, 101domain may request users to verify their identity at different stages, either before, during, or after purchasing services. To make this process more efficient and secure, 101domain has partnered with Persona Identities, Inc., a global leader in security and privacy frameworks that ensure the highest grade of security is exceeded.  Persona is certified to the highest industry standards including PCI, ISO 27001, AICPA SOC2, GDPR and CCPA. We prioritize the security and privacy of our client's data, which is why we've partnered with Persona for identity verification.

When you verify your identity through Persona, the information you provide is securely encrypted and stored strictly for verification purposes. Persona complies with all applicable data protection laws, ensuring that your data is never sold or used for marketing.

The information needed for verification is only retained for a limited period to complete verification and is then deleted in compliance with Persona and 101domain’s data retention policies, and applicable data protection laws. 

 The information provided will be used for no purpose other than verification by Persona, and customers can request early deletion of their personal information through the same mechanisms that 101domain already provides to our customers, allowing for effective data management.  For more details, you can refer to Persona’s full privacy policy on their website.

Verifying Identity Through Persona

1. A verification request will be sent to users either through email or a support ticket. Clicking the link will redirect users to Persona's verification process.

2. Users will need to agree to the Persona Identity Service Terms of Use and Persona’s Privacy Policy.

3. Identification documents, such as a driver's license or passport, must be provided.

4. A selfie may be required, where the individual must look straight ahead, then to the right, and then to the left, taking a picture with their mobile device or computer camera. 

5. Additional company identification documents, such as a business registration or articles of incorporation, may be required for organizations.

6. Once the user completes the process, we will be in touch to complete the process, usually within 2 business days.

If the verification process fails after 5 attempts, the user will be unable to continue and will need to contact 101domain to restart the process.  

Tips for a Successful Persona Verification

• To pass verification, identification documents must be valid and unexpired.

• The identification document used must belong to the individual taking the selfie.

• When taking a selfie, ensure that the face is clearly visible, well-lit, and free from glare.

• When taking a selfie, It's recommended to remove glasses, hats, or other accessories.
