How to Transfer Your Domain from Marcaria

Transferring your domain from Marcaria to 101domain is straightforward, but there are important steps and requirements. Below, you’ll find a step-by-step guide, with direct links to Marcaria’s official help articles that include the latest screenshots and visual instructions.

Note:

  1. Your domain cannot be transferred within the first 60 days of a new registration or a previous transfer.

  2. If you are transferring your domain from another Registrar, please note that you will be required to pay for a renewal for the domain; there are no additional fees. Your domain will be renewed for one additional year regardless of its current expiration date.

  3. Your domain will transfer in with its existing DNS.

  4. If your domain has expired, please note that you may need to renew it with your current registrar before transferring the domain. This will depend on the Top Level Domain (TLD) extension and it's current lifecycle status. To ensure a smooth transfer, please confirm with your current registrar that your domain is transferable.

  5. Many registrars will remove your DNS zone records immediately upon transfer, potentially disrupting your website, email, and related services. Some may offer a brief grace period, but others may delete DNS records without notice. Please refer to this article before transferring your domain: Status of Name Servers During a Domain Transfer

Prepare Your Marcaria Domain for Transfer

Marcaria requires that you send a request from the email address associated with your domain to support@marcaria.com. In your request, please ask Marcaria to do the following:

  1. Unlock Your Domain. Confirm that any transfer lock or update lock on your domain is disabled.

  2. Turn Off Domain Privacy/Protection. If Domain Privacy or Domain Protection is enabled, request that Marcaria disable it before the transfer.

  3. Verify Contact Information. Confirm that your domain’s registrant email address is current, as Marcaria will use this contact for important transfer-related notifications.

  4. Provide the Authorization Code for Your Domain. Request the domain’s authorization code (also known as an Auth Code, EPP Code, or Transfer Key). This unique code is required to authorize a transfer from Marcaria to another registrar and helps ensure that only the rightful domain holder can complete the transfer.

Submit and pay for your domain name transfer request

Once your payment is complete, the system will automatically initiate your domain transfer. Transfers for most TLDs usually take 5 days to complete, ccTLDs can take longer. Contact your current registrar to approve the transfer, otherwise it will typically complete after 5 days. Once the transfer is complete, an email notification will be sent to the primary contact email address associated with your account, confirming that your domain is now active.

You can also verify the transfer's completion by checking the status of your domain in your 101domain account; it will show as "Active" once the transfer is finalized.
