User Roles

This article clarifies the various user roles in your 101domain account, detailing permissions and responsibilities to help users understand their abilities and navigate smoothly.

  • Please note that the Primary Account Owner is responsible for managing sub-users on the account.

  • If you do not see a specific action within your account, please get in touch with the Primary Account Owner.

User Roles

Primary Account Owner

  • Primary Responsibility: Set up and manage Account User access credentials.

  • Key Privileges:

    • Enable/disable user access.

    • Update the account's address and contact information.

    • Responsible for managing and resetting two-factor authentication, passwords, and security questions for sub-users.

Admin

  • Privilege Level: Has the most privileges, second only to the Account Owner.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage payments.

    • Configure service settings.

  • Limitations: Cannot change the primary account's contact details.

Finance

  • Primary Access: Billing functions of the account.

  • Key Activities:

    • Registering, renewing, and transferring-in domain names.

    • Purchasing additional services.

    • Managing payment and auto-renewal settings.

  • Limitations: Does not have access to the domain and services configuration.

Tech

  • Primary Responsibility: Update configurations to domains and other account services.

  • Key Activities:

    • Register, renew, or transfer-in domain names.

    • Make purchases.

  • Limitations: Cannot add or modify available billing accounts or invoice settings.
