Google Workspace Shows Pending
Google Workspace set up usually takes only a few minutes. If you notice that your Google Workspace is stuck on pending, there are a few reasons why that could be. Here are a few scenarios to help troubleshoot.
Your domain name is not active
If you purchased your domain name at or around the same time as Google Workspace, it could mean that your domain name is not active yet. Your Google Workspace account cannot be created until your domain name is active. Most domains will only take a few minutes, while others, particularly country-code domains, can take days or longer.
Your physical address
The physical mailing address used in your account creation is also used for Google Workspace set up. If there is an error or missing information, then Google may not proceed. To troubleshoot, please visit “Change Address” in “My Account” and check that your address is correct and includes all of the address information.
Sometimes, Google does not accept an address without a valid reason. If you have already verified that your address is correct, please open a support ticket in your account, and we will manually troubleshoot the issue with Google.
Your email address.
Similarly, Google requires that you use a different email address than the email address associated with the domain name for your Google Workspace account. If you are using your domain email address, please visit “Change Address” in “My Account” and update your email to another email address. Once you have updated your email address, please open a support ticket in your account, and we will manually troubleshoot the issue with Google.
