How do I publish my website?

The first time you publish your website you may be prompted to choose a temporary subdomain name.

When you publish your website it becomes visible on the World Wide Web (WWW). If you make changes to your website you will need to tap publish again to make those changes visible.

Blog posts are published automatically: you do not need to click the publish button to make a new post live.

Begin the publishing process

1.  Click the Publish button.

2.  The Publish site page displays.

3.  Click Publish to publish your site, or Cancel to stop the process.

4.  On selecting Publish, then select Done and you are brought back to editing your site, or;

5.  Click the Visit website button to see your published site.

Manage (change) your site settings

Take your site offline and set your preferred domain.

To open the Site settings page:

  1. Click the Main menu icon.
  2. Click Site settings.

  1. If you want to change your site settings, click Site status.
  2. To hide your site, select Offline.  Your site will be invisible until you change the status to Online.
  3. If you have more than one domain name, select the preferred one. This will be the domain name shown in search engines.
  4. If you have more than one domain name, set Always redirect to the preferred domain to on and any traffic arriving from a secondary domain will be redirected.
  5. To apply changes, click Update Site.

NOTE:  Site caching - Google and other search engines may cache your site. If you have published the site and it has been indexed by Google, or other search engines, then taking the site offline will not remove any cached version of the site.
