This article describes how to troubleshoot the error Remote Server returned 554 4.1.8 Sender address rejected: Domain not found.

Issue

Generic email error response received when attempting to send email messages

Solution

This message indicates that you have sent a message too soon after a major DNS change.

DNS changes take 3-24 hours to propagate across the Internet. If you were to make a major DNS change, then attempt to send an email, the receiving server may not recognize your new domain. If the new domain doesn't exist in it's DNS (which is still propagating across the Internet), then it will reject the message with the error Sender address rejected: Domain not found.
